Stratos Kiris

33 Lovers is the brainchild of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Stratos Kiris. Born and based in Athens, Stratos grew up in Patras, where he started taking music lessons (quartino, clarinet, accordion).

In 2006 he formed the band Monovine with Xenofodas Sakellariou and Sotiris Douvas. They released three albums and were active for 14 years before disbanding in 2019.

In early 2020, after a period of introspection, he began writing songs and 33 Lovers took shape. In the spring of 2022, he released the digital single "Angels Yearn", featuring various musicians and friends such as Miss Trichromi, Nalyssa Green, Xenofodas Sakellariou, Sotiris Douvas, Natassa Mindrinou, Sofia Sarri and Antonis Andreou.

In the summer of 2022, he recorded the first 33 Lovers album, 'Ghost Flower', in the living room of producer Vassilis Nissopoulos, embracing an indie-pop, lo-fi aesthetic. "Ghost Flower" was released in 2023.
