Nikos Andipas is one of the most acclaimed and successful Greek composers with a long history of over 40 years in the industry, as a songwriter, producer, arranger and musician.
He started his career in the 70s as the drummer of the two notorious rock bands ‘Jonathan’ and ‘Socrates’. In the 80s he was the most sought after arranger, since his style and sound was pioneering and ahead of his time.
A notable year in his career was 1991, when he composed the songs of Haris Alexiou’s album ‘Di Efchon’, an undeniable classic in Greek discography. The songs became huge hits in the country, as well as in Japan, Belgium, Israel and France.
From then on, Nikos Andipas collaborated with some of the biggest performers like George Dalaras, Alkistis Protopsalti, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Giannis Spathas, etc.
In 2001 he does the adaptation of Sting’s ‘Mad About You’ for George Dalaras’ album ‘I Asfaltos Pou Trehei’ and starts writing music for films and TV series.
For the past 40 years Andipas’ name has been synonymous with quality, great songs, exquisite taste and well-crafted sound.
He is currently writing music for a big international theater production.
